Protests, revolts and rebellion movements aren't something new to our society, but have taken uncharted routes for its cause. Democracy has successfully existed from decades, and has never witnessed such widespread display of intolerance. A democracy blesses its citizens with freedom of speech, liberal lifestyle and of late people have misinterpreted this notion to self rule. Questioning the wrong is not bad, but wrongly questioning the right is catastrophic. People were administered and governed before as well, there were disharmonious policies, asynchronous mandates, but still were all settled with peace and sanity. Though concentrated decision making may lead to unfair and biased decisions but keeps the privilege of power exclusive for the deserving. Today, democracies across the globe endorse the idea of decentralized power where each citizen is equally powerful. But again this is unfair, as people with different levels of intellect having the same entity in the eyes of its administration.

Selfish motives have overshadowed public prosperity. Power can be put to good use only when its in the right set of hands. There has been a paradigm transformational change with regards our decisions and actions. Hitherto, people used to stand firm on their decisions, but today we may lead a protest against our self elected government. People have turned fickle minded, and have lost the ability to stay put on a decision.

Recent examples of the Yellow vest movement in France and a landmark US Government Shutdown shows how unscrupulous our societies are getting. Paris had never experienced such vandalizing protest. The government turned a blind eye on the lower middle class to favor the well off city dwellers and unduly taxed its citizens. Though their demands were amorphous, but aligned to get social and fiscal justice. Whereas US Government shutdown was one of the darkest hours in the US democratic history and with no shame was extended till the frivolous demands were honored.

Societies have emerged and developed over the years and we should preserve it in its highest order and not let the political and financial noises adulterate its purity.
